A staircase, built between 1507 and 1510/11 leads with 53 steps from the marketplace (since 1925 stage for summer open-air plays) to the church's Romanesque narthex and via further 160 steps one reaches through the tower the belfry (with 4 bells, the eldest from 1299) and the former tower keeper flat with a brilliant view over the old town.

On the days of open-air performances "Gro�e Treppe" till 7.30pm.

15. November to 28. February:
Monday 12nn - 2pm
Tuesday - Sunday 11am - 3pm�

Sightseeing and guided tours are not possible during church services.
